CUSTOMIZING

SRVAlync may be “customized” to your operation. There are provisions to customize your system that are a basic part of the system:

Your own logo and identification

Your company identification is built into the system—address, telephones, fax, E-mail, web page, etc.—for printing on your forms, reports and customer papers such as invoices and statements. Your graphic logo may also be incorporated in the system and all reports and customer papers may be printed in full color if you wish. NO PREPRINTED FORMS ARE NEEDED!

“Popup” Custom Generated Pick Lists

There are many “pick-lists” that are used within SRVAlync to select certain data items. This saves time and mistakes when entering information of a “standard” nature. 

Lists that you customize for your own operation are:

  • Client categories used to categorize your Clients (e.g., title company)
  • Task Types used to identify work types (e.g., mortgage survey, basement stake)
  • Activities used to identify “sub-units” of work (e.g., field, CADD, calc)
  • Employee list used for expense entry (includes costs, charge-out rates, and other employee information)
  • Crew list used for invoice detailing or quoting if desired (includes description, costs, charge-out rates)
  • Skills list used for invoice detailing or quoting if desired (includes description, costs, charge-out rates)
  • Other expenses used for expenses, invoice detailing and quoting if desired (includes description, unit cost, unit charge-out, description)
  • Task status to identify the current status of the work (e.g. field, CADD, calc)
  • Non-billed overhead items (e.g., vacation, illness)

Job/Task and Invoice numbering

As part of the basic system, we will customize it to automatically create Job/Task and Invoice identifiers based on your identification scheme. 

As an example, a popular method is to identify Jobs/Tasks with a number consisting of the two digit year and an “index” number beginning with 1 at the start of each year (e.g., “040334”). In this method, the year and “indexing” part of the number automatically change at the beginning of a new year. We can create virtually any required automatic numbering arrangement.

While 75% of our customers find the basic SRVAlync system suits their needs, in some cases, particularly with larger organizations, simple modifications to the system or optional modules are used to perfectly fit SRVAlync into the organization’s existing operation.

Custom reports or report modification

Existing reports may be modified or new custom reports may be developed for your specific organization if required. See the Pricing page for cost information.

Form modifications

Forms may also be modified to suit your particular requirements. Note that there are various form sets available as part of the standard system that reflect the location description parameters for your particular region

Database modifications

.If you have a special requirement for additional information over and above the substantial and varied data handled by the standard system, we can usually modify your database structure to accommodate it. Give us the information and we’ll analyze your request and submit a quote to you. 

Optional modules

There are numereous optional modules that can enhance or customize your SRVAlync system. Optional modules add features from managing documents to automated work tracking to specialized data export for use in other programs and much more. See the Options page for a complete list.
