Your organization logo, name, address, telephones, web site, Email, slogan, etc. is made a part of your system. All customer forms (e.g., invoices, statements) are printed with your information (in color if you wish) so there is no need for pre-printed forms.

Help system
|
SRVAlync has a extensive, fully integrated, context-sensitive Windows type help system with a “tutorial” section for both beginners and advanced users.

|
Multiple open forms and EdgeTabs®
|
SRVAlync allows many forms to be open at the same time. For example, you could have several job/task forms open with different job details on each one. EdgeTabs® (like notebook index tabs) allow you to quickly move back and forth between forms to compare information.

|
Tool bar “Hot” keys
|
A convenient “toolbar” is located at the top of each form and report to allow quick selection of commonly used actions (such as search, save, open report). The exact button arrangement may be specified by you using the “Preferences” feature.
“Hot” keys are assigned to allow many actions to be taken via the keyboard to speed up data entry and editing.

“Jumping”
|
The “jump” feature is unique to SRVAlync and serves several functions. Examples:
- Right-clicking on a Job/Task summary in the Clients form will instantly open an instance of the Jobs/Tasks form showing all details about the Job/Task.
- Right-clicking on the payment information for an invoice will open a form detailing the distribution of the total payment made by the Client.
- Right-clicking on the Task No. will open the Work Order report ready for printing a Work Order for that Task.

Date Calc
|
“Intelligent” date fields allow entry of dates in any accepted date format. In addition, the fields “understand” such phrases as “yesterday”, “today”, “tomorrow”, “last month”, “next year”, “2 days” (enters date two days from current date), “last 3 weeks” (enters date three weeks prior to current date), etc. This saves time and errors when entering dates.

Math Calc
|
“Intelligent” number fields allow entry of arithmetic statements such as 169 * 3.2 (returning 540.8), 73 - 4 (returning 69), 8+2*3 (returning 30), etc. It can keep you from having to use a calculator.

Pop-up Lists
|
“Pop-up” lists are associated with some fields and allow you to pick a “standard” item from a list for entry in the field. For example, your custom list of Task Types will pop-up to allow you to quickly enter the Task Type for the Task. Pop-up lists are customized by you to fit your organization’s requirements. (See the Customizing page.)

Drop-down Lists
|
Many fields have a “drop-down” list feature. Clicking on the arrow at the right of a field opens a list of items related to a search or a “main” record. For example, searching for Clients that begin with the letters “Har” might return several Clients. Dropping down the Client name list will show all records returned by the search. Clicking on the Client of interest will immediately bring up all details related to that particular Client. (See the Searching page for details on SRVAlync’s powerful search capability.)

Entered Modified dates
|
Most record types (e.g., Client, Contact, Job, Task) have an “entered” and “last modified” date. This gives you information and good control over when records are entered and if they are subsequently modified.

Defaults
|
Some fields default to a specific value if no data is entered. For example, the Client “mailing address” fields will default to the “billing address” data; the Task “Ordered By” fields will default to the Task “Bill To” data; “Entered” and “Modified” dates will default to the current date; Job, Task and Invoice numbers will default to the next number in sequence (if your system is so configured—see the Customizing page ).

Field groups
|
Field groups on forms allow you to enter a virtually unlimited number of records related to the “main” record on the form. For example, many Tasks may be related to one Job or location.

Text editor
|
Note and remarks fields may hold several paragraphs of text. The convenient pop-up text editor allows easy entry, edit and reading of extensive text.

Spell check
|
SRVAlync has a built-in spell checker. (Just in case!)
|
|
Restore search criteria
|
If, after entering search criteria and retrieving records, you find that you wish to make another search similar to the last one. Simply click the “restore search criteria” button and the form is blanked with your original search criteria restored for modification.

|
“Red” text
|
Entered text turns red when it is new text to be saved. It turns red italic when it is edited text to be saved. This is a convenient visual indicator that helps prevent entry errors.

|
Setting preferences
|
SRVAlync allows you to set system preferences to suit your way of working. For example the toolbar button arrangement may be modified, various warning and confirmation boxes may be turned on or off, etc.

|
Deleting records
|
Almost any record may be “deleted”. However, for safety, the “deleted” record remains in the database for later recovery until you run a special “purge” program.

|
Drag ‘n Drop
|
SRVAlync allows you to “drag and drop” data from one field to the other. You may also drag and drop multiple record information (for example, from a form to a report for viewing or printing). See the Reports page for details.

Envelopes Labels
|
Report forms are included for envelope and label printing. You may create your own label templates via the “label creator” included with the print module.
|
|
Optional modules
|
SRVAlync has several optional modules that can enhance its usefulness to certain types of Professional Surveying operations. Examples are:
- TaskTrak® for detailed Task tracking via barcoded Work Orders to provide up to date Task status and work history,
- Document Manager for linking external documents to the Task record
- AutoBill® for auto invoicing of fixed price Tasks
- DataXprt® for exporting your SRVAlync data for other program use.
- AccuPay® barcoded Invoices and Statements for fast and accurate payment entry,
- InterestAdder® for automatic interest computation on overdue accounts
- Quote Module for detailed Task quoting.
